Perdido key fishing

Heading down to perdido key after we wrap up a job in dulac Tuesday night. Anybody ever fished down there? I've read about Johnson's beach and think I will start there. Surf and wade fishing is not my bread and butter so any advice on that would be appreciated. Any must need gear? Also what should I be looking for on the sand bars? Drop offs slicks etc..?

i was in gulf shores through the weekend and the waves were extremely rough and I still managed some trout. Sunday morning it was slick and fish were blowing up all along the coast, but my wife was ready to leave ;(

I posted a report btw look up gulf shores

Been going to Perdido for years. Never did well on the beach, just lady fish and a blue fish once in a while. I have fished the intracoastal on Johnson beach quite a bit. Wade fishing you can catch a few specks early in the morning. I fish a bomber long A most of the time.

Not familiar with the slang. What does "roughing in" mean. Assuming some kinda construction term...

Putting up the walls and rafters.

MarshRat89 06-03-2013 08:41 PM

Well I do electrical so what we consider roughing in is actually running all the wire and getting it ready for open wall inspection.
