green light

Been getting mail on a 12volt portable green light w/25ft.cord.Clip to battery and add a weight to the light and submerge.Probably 2 or 4 beers and start fishing? Anyone have any info. on this?

Well, look at it this way, if you increase those beers to 4-6, you probably won't care if it works or not!

I have heard those green lights work, but I have also heard they don't work any better than regular lights. Buy the thing and let us know how it works for you!

I can't find the pictures of how they came out, but I installed these on a dock in one of my customer's ponds. They work really good and make some pretty cool accent lighting at night too.

I dont remember the details, but if you research it you can find that the color actually does make a difference. I think the green (in the water) has something to do with attracting something that attcracts the baitfish, which attracts the pretditor fish. Also, different colors penetrate through water farther than others. Of course, pretty much any light above the water will attract bugs which attract fish. I would think that above the water brighter would be better. When you look it up you will get a lot of different opinions but there actually is a science to it I just dont remember much of it.

From what I've read the green is the best. The green attracts plankton which attracts the bait fish which in turn attracts the larger game fish. So said the study tested all different colors side by side. Green was best with white in 2nd.

I seem to remember reading something about both how the different color light travels further. Also something about how the fish's retinas are able to perceive and process the different colors.
