Grand Isle ... Windy
 

On grand isle ... Winds steady blowing outta the south 12-18, has the water churned up. Accidentally caught one 16" spec (LOL). Good thing we got French fries. Winds supposed to lay down for tm morning ... hope so.

Winds were good thursday and Saturday. Other than that, been blowin hard! Lots of bait in the bay, but all dink 11in trout. Good luck tomorrow! Beach apparently is on if you can get a flat day.

caught well over a 100 trout Saturday morning but most were 11.5" came home with 5 trout 1 white and 3 reds and 1 tired little girl.

Found some nice size specs this morning along the beach. Guys next to us were catching double after double on beetles but they were dinks. We had some shrimp ... Wife and grand daughter, but that's what the bigger ones (18") wanted. When the water clears up it ought to be reall good; it's still a "milky" green. The workin birds we found were over gaftops.

This morning there specs on just about every little island both side of grand isle but they are small. We found the bigger ones, 13", were farther off of the island, about 60 or so yards. But when we'd start catching good the porous would come in and kill the action. Good luck to those coming to the island this weekend.

You using a popping cork?

With and without a cork, carolina and jighead dragging the bottom too.

Gotcha a few spots I regular over there seems like the popping cork will attract the porpoises once they come in they are hard to get rid of. I try not using corks very often but people I bring fishing seem to like them.

Yep they hear them corks popping from a mile away.
