Boat Sound System

Any recommendations for speaker and stereo for a bay boat?

I used a clarion marine headunit with 4-6 1/2" Kicker marine satellites, 10" kicker cvr sub, and an Alpine marine 4X150 / 1X500 watt amp. Sound was extremely clear and it could sound like a club if you cranked it up!

What kind of boat? where did you mount the sub? That doesnt drain your batteries?

I was put in a custom built, high speed, cat boat. The sub was mounted in a custom box designed into the console. I installed an additional optima blue top strictly for the sound system.

Which fusion unit? There are several.

I have had a fusion few a couple years now. No problems, and my boat stays in the lift year round...Not sure which model it is

If you you have a lowrance GPS check out the sonic hub.
I just bought a cheap one for the boat and wished I would have waited and got the sonic hub for the lowrance GPS. That thing sounds great. Not sure but someone said it will work with all NMEA units

Fusion Fogs!!

I installed a Fusion about 6 months ago. Fogs every morning. Had to send back and pay shipping. Sent back and doing the same thing. They won't answer my emails. They claim is that it is completely waterproof but its not. I've been told that I should have gotten a Kenwood! Good luck.

I have a Fusion IP600 head unit (that does not have any problems with humidity on the display), a JL MHD 600/4 powering a pair of JL M7.7's and a JL 10" sub. The amp is mounted inside my center console near the batteries. The sub is mounted on the lower portion of my console, facing my shins when I am at the helm, and the 7.7's are mounted on each side of the console, facing the gunnels. This setup is on a 24 ft. Skeeter bay boat, and it sounds phenomenal, especially when I am underway. I have no problems hearing the stereo at WOT. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it the same, but I would add another pair of 7.7's fore of the console, pointed to the rear of the boat

The Kenwood head units are solid as a rock. I have had sony, and now how fusion, but if I ever get another unit it will be a kenwood.
