Job site trailer camp conversion

6 Attachment(s)
Just thought I'd share a little project I'm working on. I squired a used job site trailer from a friend and decided to convert it into a camp for my hunting lease. My dad and I have been working on it here and there since November. We had to replace quite a bit of the floor due to some rotting. It seems we've got all the leaks patched but I was told these things are infamous for leaking. I plan on putting a cover over it and a porch once I get it to the lease. Anyway... If any of you have suggestion I'd be glad to here them. Attachment 52350

Used to have one as a camp with a very basic layout. Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and closet in that layout from the door. Ours was very poorly insulated (if any) so we used several portable heaters to keep it warm. Definitely recommend adding a porch to it.

Nice set up... That will make a great place for many memories. Take some pics when you get it finished and set up.

Will do... Even built my own bunk. Twin over full. Cost for the bed was about $80.

Looks sweet man! How much do one of those trailers cost and did they need a lot of work? We just got a lot in Toledo Bend that I need to figure out what to put on it. I think this would be better than a camper.

Hauling it to my lease in Avoyelles parish just north of Simmesport.

Matt G. I'm not sure how much you can get one for. It was given to me by a friend who used to rent them out. The only repairs it really needed was replacing rotten floors under windows that leaked. I replaced all the silicone around the windows and haven't had any leaks since. I will put a metal roof cover over it once I get it to my lease.
