Shrimping Calcasieu or Vermilion.

Thinking about pulling the boat to Vermilion tomorrow and see if I can skim some shwimps. I noticed the salinity is low 3-4ppt where as Calcasieu is around 11 ppt. The tide is 2-3 foot change at Vermilion as to 1.5 at Calcasieu. Where would you go if you had the option??? Channel or Lake?

Hi Raymond, Mr. McQuellan said it would be about 2 more weeks before he'll be picking, or I would. I'll get you one or maybe two on the next trip. lol I think it will be Calcasieu. Tide changes around 4:00p. Hope I can get into em. They were pretty small a couple of weeks back.
