SMI 233

I've been to this site before, but never anchored there. I know there is a bouy marking the spot, but in case someone is already tied to it, is it safe to anchor or are you likely to lose your anchor on either the sunken boat or the trash from the platform that was formerly there? Any info would be appreciated.

yes, I know, but I was wondering how much trash there was around the former platform pad which, I think, it just to the NW of the bouy.

The platform was east of the bouy. Never had problems anchoring.

My buddy lost an anchor at 233. We tried forever to get loose, but eventually had to cut the rope. I never heard of anyone else having a problem. We were east of bouy.

might be a good time to experiment with my new Lowrance downscan imaging to see if I can spot "crap" on the bottom before I anchor.
