19ft. vs.21 ft. bayboat

will a 21 ft. bayboat ride and pefrorm much better than a 19 ft. of the same make? ex: nautic star 2110 vs nautic star 1910. I have been searching for almost 2 years for a nice 21 foot bayboat (used) but always run across 19 footers, nice ones too. I know the right answer is prob. wait on a 21 footer but dont want to wait forever for a minor performance upgrade over the 19. Will primarily fish the marshes of myrtle grove, lafitte, etc..top of my list is nautic star. blazer bay, pathfinder in no particular order..

The reason you see allot of 19' and not 21's used is because owners are upgrading to a bigger boat..

That being said a 19' boat will get the job done.

The $ difference on the 19' over a 21' makes you really think too. Gotta go 21 IMO.

I have a 2110 se and love it. i too have looked for 3+ years and ended up buying new. i dont think there is much of a difference until you get in some rough seas. ive handled 5 ft swells in mine. If we would have had more sense we should have been nervous but it was a blast. i can only think that the same ride in a 19 would have been scary.

if ya want a test ride let me know. i am always looking for an excuse to get on the water.

Nautic star are light boats ....better to go 21' ....if you can afford it its always better to go to larger boat.

I Had a 17ft Cape Horn and just upgraded to a 22ft Pathfinder it was a very big different. The ride was not wet, she cut thru the wave better and MORE deck space.

That extra 2ft will definitely make a difference in big swells. Apples to Oranges but I bought a 16ft boat instead of 15 or 14 and I've been in situations where that little bit extra really makes a difference in how the boat takes the waves.

I had a 19" Blue Wave and upgraded to a 21' Frontier (very similar boats) The ride between the 2 is night and day. Go with a 21.

If you get a 19' you going to wish you got the 21' If you get the 21' you going to wish you got a 24'............. it's 2'itis, every boat owner has it.
