Well, it was finally time for me to cook (once every 15 months) and i made my specialty.

Started out by stuffing pork tenderloin with smoked oysters and minced garlic and then off to the fridge to marinate.

Had time for some Canebreak while getting ready for the wild rice pilaf and sweet potatoe casserole. Also therew together a spinach salad with fresh strawberries, walnuts and feta cheese.

Then it is off to the pit for some grill time. Once it was just about complete, i drizzle the tenderloin with Steens cane syrup and top with fresh cracked pepper.

End result! OUTSTANDING!

That's some of the best beer brewed in the state!

Agree with you Brown fin! I like beer and Canebreak is by far the best. On Tuesdays around 530 the open a cask. Basically it is Canebreak infused with different ingredients. Last week it was apricot and ginger. Very creative guys over there. They will do great just on my support! LOL

Food looks awesome!

I would love to do the tour at Parish Brewery, but I would need someone to drive me home

I gota invent a scrath and taste app for my phone.lol. Man that looks outstanding. Never heard of that beer though. Im from Alexandria and it must not make it this far north. Know of a place I could get some from Sulphur down to Holly Beach and over towards Cameron. Any where in that triangle?

duckman1911 09-11-2013 07:11 PM

Pork and sweet potatoes complement each other so well. I love to cook a pork roast with sweet potaoes over a fire in my big dutch oven. Pour in half a bottle of red wine then kick back and fire up a cigar while finishing the rest of the wine :). Awesome job on a B A looking meal.

Duckman, i can check later today and see if they distribute in the LC area or you can hit them up on facebook under Parish brewery. Just brought a new beer to the market this week. Very dark and hoppy.. Check them out on FB or i'll get back with you later.

Thanks for the kind words.....cooking is a passion that i love to do!

duckman1911 09-12-2013 07:19 PM

Thanks man. We fish the surf between holly beach and cameron and the next time I get down that way I will certainly be on the out look for it. Thanks again. John

Ragin_Cajun 09-15-2013 02:38 PM

They plan on getting to the LC area within the year. Pretty much in Laffy for now. Holler next time you get this way, i'm across the street from the brewery!
