Fishing birds!!

Ok I have a question and it maybe dumb but I'm looking for some help! Is seagulls the only kind of birds you can fish under and be successful?

Sorry I just realized i put this in the wrong forum!

definitely not, but seagulls are the most reliable. You can catch under terns (liar birds) and pelicans as long as you know what to look for.

What would I look for under terns and pelicans? Fish popping on surface??

Of course always look for fish on the surface. I fish liar birds when I see them nailing the surface in just about the same exact area. Normally they are always moving forward but every now and then you can tell they aren't just doing there normal thing, and they are staying the same area. Pelicans are mostly misses, but every now and then you'll find them with a couple of gulls in the mix and that's when you normally want to fish them.

Aslo watch and see how fast the group looks to be moving. Too fast is usually a bad sign.

Not all birds will have good fish under them . Occasionally it will be gaftops or other trash fish . I always look for fish busting the water surface . No fish showing usually means trash or really small fish . "W" has a post on fishing birds you may want to look up for some pointers as well.
