LC lab thief, look out

I just got word on some second hand info from someone that has a connection with lake Charles police. They say someone has been stealing dogs, labs in particular. Like I said just a word but felt I should let everyone know. Pay attention to you pups.

What would anyone want with a bunch of yard dogs?

Lake Chuck Duck 09-25-2013 08:42 PM

Well imagine they would target houses with trucks that have kennels in the trucks or something.

When u got a box like Spunt has there's more to it than just "take it out". U gotta have a 35 ton rig with a critical lift permit.

Unfortunately, as we found out several years ago when our dog was stolen, stealing a dog is merely a property crime comparable to stealing anything else of similar value. In addition, when investigating the crime, law enforcement are usually not going to regard a pet as an item of particular value. Our experience (not in Louisiana) was that the investigator made a report, but no more effort was made to follow up than the typical shoplifting case.

Several Craackheads stole a chiwoohwa downtown, waited for the reward to be posted and then called to claim said reward. Neighbor had given description of the perps to PO PO and they followed dog owner to drop location. Craackheads didn't get reward chedda and owner got their family member back. Investigation is on going by LC Po Po but I doubt anything will come of it. Would have been nice if they would have let me show them how a Heeling Stick works over the course of 15 miniutes.;)
