Margarine vs Butter

Who uses what? We ditched the melted plastic in a bucket a few years ago. Its butter or nothing for us. Not trying to knock your choice. Just curious is all.

I don't buy into the whole margarin is one molecule away from being plastic deal. Oxygen is only one molecule away from being carbon dioxide, should we stop using it?

Margarine does have more healthy fats then butter and less Trans fats, depending on the margarine. Solids, like sticks, contain more Trans fats while tubs of spread have less.

For me, it's butter all the way. Changing my butter up is like fancying up my ranch, I don't need any of that low fat or extra buttermilk stuff - classic hidden valley all the way.

Plus, if you are relying on leaving butter for margarine, or looking for light options in little things that compliment your food, then you have way bigger problems with your diet to worry about.

hahaha! At first glance, I thought it read margarita vs butter..

I choose margarita every time!

Seriously, we use margarine spread daily for no good reason but real butter that the near by lil amish store sells is my first choice.

Good stuff for all those delicious recipe calling for real butter..

You only go around once in this life, might as well enjoy real butter I say!

Our family uses unsalted butter.

Thing about butter over margarine is that you only need a tiny pat of butter and it goes a long way, margarine is mostly water so it evaporates quickly.

If its made in a lab... why would you want to eat it? look at how many fat (obese) people there are... its not cause they're hunting, fishing and picking their own foods... its because they're buying cheap fake food. go watch a movie that was made in the 60's or 70's or 80's even and just look at the random people in the backgrounds vs one made today. BUTTER if you need to have it for sure. People will still try to say there is no "scientific" proof.... well if you look around... its apparent enough.

I say butter hands down....but now is it lard of oil? :D
