10-17 to 10-20 toledo

Stayed at toledo bend south state park. Fished all around the state park north and south 2 or 3 coves and points never caught any bass just managed enough bream to bait a trotline. Managed a single 2-3 lb channel cat.

Man, I wish we would have hooked up. I located some fish (bass) in Yocum cover Friday, biggest 5lbs. I caught 12 from 4pm to 11pm. i sure the fish would have been there after the front. I didn't fish Sat or Sun.

I have had really good luck with noodles on South Toledo Bend State Park coves. Might try live bream under about 6-8' of line with a float. I think it has something to do with the drastic change in depth adjacent to that furthest cove on the south side. Put your noodles right in the mouth of the cove. On a south wind they should drift in towards the shore. You won't lose them like that. Dead bream = garfish. Got to be alive.

Duck enticer, did you stay up at south toledo bend state park this spring and run some brim under noodles / floats.

if that was you think we chatted a bit, I was crappie fishing the weedlines while you were running the noodles.
