Need Advice Fast

Just found out the daughters bf's family is going through some tough times due to medical bills for the grandmother. The deal is our daughter was supposed to keep it on the down low. She told us and we want to help. Problem is if we say something he may be embarrassed and possibly be mad because she told us. We love him like family and would do anything for him but don't wont him to feel belittled in any way.

Find out what bank they use and deposit some money. Or just talk to him man to man like you know burning and get him to spill it to ya

FF_T_Warren 12-11-2013 08:48 PM

They are not on the "loosing their house" level but at the "no Christmas this year"level. I want him to know we will help in anyway we can but don't want to embarrass him..

Try opening a bank account.. Anything you can get
Put it In there.. Any little would help!

FedEx what you want to give and don't put a return address.
Put an envelope in the mailbox.
Find out what the kids want for Christmas and hire a taxi to deliver it along with a basket of food for the Christmas dinner.
I've had so do the same thing before for some close friends they were to proud to ask but I knew they needed it. We never talked about it but they knew.

First get some rope...... Wait. Wrong thread! :rotfl:

Seriously though the mailbox and taxi idea is great.

Shoot me a PM with your number. Due to experience with the SC Christmas families, this has become a specialty of mine(not at all bragging!).

BuckingFastard 12-12-2013 08:27 AM

Get him drunk and talk... or do the taxi idea. that'd be great.

Just talk to him and say that in casual conversation, it came up of the difficulties facing your family. Families talk, and you hearing that from your daughter is nothing he should feel bad about. Talk to him alone if possible so he can feel free to open up with GF there. He will appreciate it!!

Thanks everyone. I think we have it figured out now. I talked to him about the situation and he was really grateful. He's a great guy and makes our very happy. That makes him family in my book. Family gota look out for each other.
