Im Lookingfor a Lab either started Dog or a puppy. Im offshore Until the first and would like to get one as soon as i get home if you know someone or you have one and willing to keep it for me till then PLEASE let em know. No Not lost mine got killed a few months back. So I built a big fenced in yard to keep my new one in instead of a little kennel. SOMEONE didnt pin mine up one night when I was offshore and he was hit by a car and had to be put down so I fenced in a acre for my new one to run in

Whether its gonna be a rock dog or ribbon dog I recommend its parents having health clearances. Hip certifications, EIC test and CNM test. If the person doesn't know what that is they shouldn't be breeding labs in the first place, and you shouldn't be buying from them. Just a heads up before you buy one of those ridiculously priced mutts that happen to frequent other outdoor forums in the state of Louisiana.

Give Robert Authement a call 337-515-2728, he usually has some fairly priced health cleared dogs/pups for sale and he's in the lafayette area. Real nice guy, that won't steer you wrong.

I've seen Robert run a few of his dogs and was very impressed and he is a very nice guy. Trust me on the EC testing you want to make sure you have this. Just in case you don't know, they can be clear, Affected or carriers. Carriers so no physical signs but can pass the gene on. University of Minnesota website has a lot of info on this.

So what was the outcome? You find a new hunting partner?!

I know somebody selling some not sure what the pedigree looks like though.
