Fast And Yummy

We all love manning the pit, smoker, or pot all day and making great stuff. Unfortunatly work and life prevent that at times. What is your go to meal when the family is hungry and you just got home from work? Your go to, fast and good meal. Mine (newly discovered) is redfish alfredo.

I throw all my red bean ingredients in a slow cooker on low in the AM, with Tasso in it and bacon strips laying on top. Just cook some rice and grab a plate when you get home

Bro some red beans and rice is my absolute favorite meal in the world. Especially with some buttered corn bread. :)

Anything in the crock pot. If you make a roux the night before and put it the corck pot the next morning with deer meat it is falling apart when you get home. You can also use the roux in a bottle

Red Beans and Ground Meat

1 1/2 lbs browned ground meat
1 big can blue runner read beans
1 can red kidney beans
heat all that up and serve over rice

Shrimp and pasta

smother an onion in a stick of butter
when they clear add some garlic
cook it for a minute or two
add your shrimp
when the water cooks out of the shrimp and they are all pink add some half and half
thicken with corn starch and water
serve over noodles

Deer Sausage Sandwiches

put frozen pack of sausage in a skillet cover it with water
when the water is half way cooked out flip it over
when you have just a little water left in the pan stick it in the oven on covection bake at 425 for about 10 minutes flip it halfway though to brown both sides
whole process takes 25 minutes and comes out good (not as good as grilled)

Grilled mother freaking cheese sammiches!! I buy the assorted packs of cheese from Sams and put one of each cheese on the bread, and add either roast beef or black forrest ham with jalopenos! Can'tbeat it for a fast and cheap meal! I'm also not against breakfast for dinner!

Another thing I quickly learned, is to cook larger portions when I cook. I'll put them into portioned containers and freeze them. All I have to do is pull out whatever it is I'm hungry for and heat it up. Add rice or pasta and voilla! Home cooked meal.

I'll also make fried rice with left over rice from the night before. Onions, eggs, chicken, and soy sauce.

Looks good duckman. Next time you need to try some trailer park garlic bread with dat! Just butter you up a slice of bread, add a little powdered garlic, and pop that little sucker in the oven for a few minutes. My wife laughs at me and calls me trashy everytime I make it, but she still eats it!

Them grilled ham n cheese sammichs are some fine eating. Oh and Sams does have some great roast beef. We shop at Sams quite a bit. Its the only place you can buy 20lbs of butter and the cashier doesnt look at you funny.lm ao

Creamy chicken basil.

Easy. Takes about 35-40 minutes. Used to be a box dinner but
Now we can't find it so we make it from scratch.

Sounds good man. My wife grows basil in her herb garden. I love walking by it and smelling it.
