OK guys gonna be putting a boston butt on the pit real soon, and I could really use some ideas as far as your techniques in cooking and your favorite sauces to mix with it. Store bought or home made, thanks.

Temp 225-250. I like pecan wood to smoke. You want thin blue smoke not heavy white. Check out smokingmeatforums.com. All the info u need

For pig roast around here people make pig sauce
equal parts
a-1 steak sauce
italian dressing
lea and perrrins

A good basic barbecue sauce is

1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Cup Ketchup
3 Tablespoons packed of Dark Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Creole or Yellow Mustard
1 Tablespoon Molasses or Honey
1 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes.

Put at the ingridents in a pot, simmer on low for till its heated through.
