Denham Springs

Had to make a surprise trip over here for a couple days for work. Is there anything to do other than Bass Pro Shop? I am staying right by it.

Nope. Not right now. River is too high and duck season is over. Cabelas isn't far if you need something bps doesn't have. If you need food suggestions I can send you some

Food suggestions would be nice. Was going to go to Hooters but didn't think that would look good on an expense report.

Try Mestizos on Acadian right across from TJ Ribs looks like a hole in the wall but the in side is nice and the food is great.

if you like sushi or japanese go right there in front of bass pro to the place called Geisha. place is AWESOME. the lagniappe roll is amazing. and if you dont like sushi, still go and get the duck confit. I used to eat that before i started liking sushi and it is amazing. How long are you in town for? bass pro restaurant isnt good dont go there. theres not much good in denham aside from geisha. for seafood go to college drive and hit perkins road and go to Parrain's. it is GREAT. For mexican either go to Superior Grill on government street in BR or Ninfa's right off of college dr. (in that order). Both are great but superior is the bomb.

The steakhouse in the parking lot of bps is good. Can't remember name of it.

FF_T_Warren 02-17-2014 08:26 PM

longhorn. its pretty good. lil pricey. best steaks I have found that are consistent and very reasonably priced are texas roadhouse. im not saying they cant be beat but they hard to beat for the price of em

If you go meet Southern in Gonzales, you can hit Cabela's then Mike Anderson's in the Holiday Inn. Used to eat there every year when we went for the livestock shows. Good stuff if they are still there.

Mike Anderson's is still around and, a great place to dine! Their char-grilled oysters are off the chart!:work:
