Matt G 02-18-2014 01:00 PM

I know RimPro's wanted to charge me $380 just to install the kit I already had. I ended up doing it myself in a couple hours. What kind of truck do you have?

Clampy 02-18-2014 01:10 PM

I got mine done a T-Boys on Congress. I got 34.5'' tires and leveling kit for $1260 walking out the door (if I remember correctly). They didn't charge me for the labor since I bought the tires and kit from them. Very happy with their work.

IIRC T-Boy's quoted me $175 for the install and alignment and Castille's quoted somewhere around $150 for just the install. I ended up getting the alignment done at T-Boy's for $90. I was very impressed by that place. Kept me informed through text on the progress and had it ready by 9:30 that morning. The guy behind the counter answered all of my stupid questions with a smile on his face.

Yeah both my brother and I got our work done there and they were very professional. Kept you informed the entire time and answered all questions thoroughly. I will definitely use them again.

Have you considered Bilstein 5100 adjustable front struts? I had a set put on my F150 and have been very pleased with the ride plus you can get them for close to cost of a level kit....check tapautoparts.com

Bilstine;; is the way to go!!!!!

Guys... I just snapped a front strut on my Tundra ... I got it replaced at B & M..

They replaced the 2 Bilstiens with PRO Comp Strut's.. They sent truck to some place where they do alignments with old way.. No computers..

Think of it this way.. When U put big tires as well as lift or leveling kits U've altered the UR truck from Factory spec's.

A computer alignment is using setting from stock settings; based on the tires and such that came with Truck from factory...

Computer alignment ain't the way to go.. Don't know what they did but My tires came back from alignment center with White Chalk ring around the center of my 33" TOYO's..

I can let my steering go and my truck runs straight down the road like it was no tomorow..

I also had an alum 1.5 spacer on top of lift kit that stiffened my front end.. B & M indicated that I didn't NEED it.. Truck ride is much better without it now..

Like my pro comp Struts..

Do research on the bilstein 5100
Lots of failure with the coil seat clasp and leaking.... Just FYI

I think a lot of this depends on type of use. I wouldn't necessarily put them if I was hard on my truck going off road but for a level truck that stays mainly on road with light off road use I think they will hold up but only time will tell and from what I have seen between F150 forum and Tacoma forums I was willing to try them and have been pleased so far... lifetime warranty too
