Line-X

Has anyone used Line-X sprayed in your boat? Any infor on Agri Sport Coating in New Iberia? Thanks

keakar 02-23-2014 12:18 PM

I think line-x is good stuff (did my truck bed) but I didn't like the cost ($400+) so for doing my boat im thinking of using this stuff instead: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Restore-4...4#.UnkoQb7nbL8

just wanted to throw that out there

Thanks. I'll check it out. I'm having a boat built and still haven't decided for sure if I'm going to have the inside painted or a liner sprayed in.

Aluminum or fiberglass?

aluminum

I had a boat that had it in it. Mine was light grey so it wasn't hot in the feet in the summer, but it was expensive. If I had to do it over I would go with hydro turf.

I've gotten samples of Hydro Turf and Sea Deck. Looks like great stuff. I have a lot of break points in my layout - 3 hatches on front & 3 on rear deck and steps to both. I'm concerned about how well they would stick in so many different sections. Those are still options. Tomorrow I hope to stop by Agri-Sport and get an estimate. That might eliminate that option.

I had line-x sprayed in and underneath of my kubota side x side bed over there. it was like $300 to get a 3x4 bed done and it started peeling within 2 years. And that was with me removing the bed and bringing it over there

not good. That's a concern I have. The builder, the painter and several others involved in the boat recommend painting inside with none skid. I have a 17' with rino liner spayed in. No problems for 6 years now, but I've heard of some problems others have had. I like the looks and noise reduction of a liner. Paint seems to be possibly less trouble and cheaper.
