4/2/14 Jeckle and Hyde hump day

Nothing like being woke up a number of times during the night before a fishing trip due to the wind rocking the camp. Happened last night but when Marvin Travasos's crew jumped on the Bluewave this morning it was dead calm. Not knowing how long that was going to last my crew jumped all over the yellowmouths at our first stop. Lots of mullet, pogies, and a few shrimp had the trout in a feeding frenzy. We put 47 in the K2 before the wind jumped to 20mph. One short move had us sitting in a protected cut catching bigger trout 17-19 inches) than our first stop. With the K2 looking good and the guys tired of the wind we took it to the house. Nothing under a cork today. Every fish was caught tight lined with a Green Hornet Matrix Shad or a blue back tsunamis. Points with moving water around them, reefs in 3-5ft of water, and cuts leading to the lakes are where these fish are playing. Most important is to find clean water. Drop your trolling motor and if you can see the boot the water is clean enough to catch. Thanks Capt. Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip.
