help finding a suzuki df40 oil drain chute
I have a Suzuki df40 and have been using an old oil drain chute I found in my dads garage from an old unknown lawn mower so the outboard motor stays clean and doesn't get covered in oil.
(Suzuki thinks letting oil just pour out all over down the side of your engine as a nice normal routine thing to do when you need to change oil) anyways, the chute I was using cracked and is no longer usable and I wanted to know before I go try to magiver anything out of thin wall pvc pipe, if there is anything you guys use that I could just go pick up off the shelf or if any of you know which lawn mowers come with the drain chutes you stick under the drain plug so I could go buy one. it sounds simple enough but when I ask about it people look at me like they never heard of such a thing as an oil chute for draining oil  |
never mind I found it
its called a "Sleeve oil , part #731-1682A" (same part # for mtd sears and just about all other mowers it only cost $3.50 but the shipping was $7 lol anyway I ordered a new one |
i have changed the oil in Suzy's by lifting the trim up if you have trim and turn the motor completely to the side of the drain bolt you still have a little bit get on the mid section and lower unit but its not much

yep, I used to do that but it still leaves a lot of oil in the engine when you do that so its best to drain it in the down position to get it all out.
with the little drain chute it makes it so much cleaner and easier without getting any oil on the motor. |
