Not a direct answer but several years ago I used Gamma mono and really liked it. Gamma stopped making fishing line for a few years and it was restarted by Black Knight Industries. Talked to their owner at ICAST and they seem to be using the same manufacturing process so I would expect their quality to still be very good. While they were out of production I switched to PLine and haven't seen a reason to change back.

Having said that, hands down the best fluorocarbon (and one of the best performing lines overall) I've used is Sunline FC Sniper, but at $20 or up for 100yds it's out of my price range.

I just took chubs advice and I spilled up with 16# sunline sniper and it's the strongest line I have ever used. Cast great and handles great.
