Homemade Jam

Bought a half flat fresh Louisiana strawberries from a guy at the office the other day. Picked fresh from the vine on Thursday. Decided to make some jam, especially with mother's day coming up. Thought it would he a nice gift to my mom and mawmaw.

Here is the end result. Letting them sit for 24 hours to seal, but have some left overs that have turned into the proverbial "Baker's Dozen". Let me tell you son, for a first try, it came out just as good as anything Smucker's makes.

Can't let SigNate have all the fun!! Lol!! J/k man, always enjoy the posts. They always inspire me to go eat something! Haha

Man, can't wait to slap this stuff on some homemade biscuits.

My favorite thing on biscuits though is some good homemade fig preserves. Wish I could find someone around Prairieville that would let me go pick some.
