Fishing in the rain??????

What u guys think about it? Would like to hit the water Friday or Saturday but rain in the forecast. Going after sacs and bream. Anyone have success when it's coming down?

I've caught good in the rain before but have done excellent inbetween showers, in the summer especially

It seems like the trout will turn on just before those huge black clouds roll in on summer afternoons. It always happens at the last minute before it is time to hall *** back to the ramp.

I enjoy bass fishing during light showers and in between showers, especially may and summer, makes a few fish move up shallower

Some of my best trips have been under a bridge during a shower for sacs. They seem to turn on during the rain and quit as soon as the rain does.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll probably try Henderson Saturday morning. Always have I-10 bridge to hide under.

as long as theres no lightening I don't mind fishing in the rain one bit.

Anytime there is dark skies, the fish usually bite a little better. It doesn't matter if it's 100° or 20°.

Yes, come check Henderson out. Little rain won't hurt. We need some.

Hey mr jake, it's Todd Dupont. Yea it's dry out here in the fields, need a good soaking for the crop and break from work! Ha!

Big rain last night. No work in the fields today. Come get you some.

Never made it as planned this weekend so made a trip today, caught a mixed bag of sacs, goggle eye and bream. 33 total from about 9-2. Wind was bad but got into cuts and caught on crickets. Not bad for first trip of the year.

I find bream are always biting good in the rain if you get under some cover so the water isn't too disturbed like under bridges or thick tree tops.

i suspect they know that lots of bugs will be falling from the trees in the rain and they stack up under them for the feast

I find the fishing to be decent in the rain, missed my biggest fish right after a storm last year on toledo, because the reel came off of my rod because of the rain looseing it up, i find the rain makes the fish go shallow which for most fishermen makes it better fishing
