Smith and Sons Knives

I see they are out of Sulphur. Anybody has any of their knives? They look top notch and they're Louisiana based. I'm digging the Ranch Hand and the Medium Hunter.

I've been wanting to get one to add to my collection

I do not own a knife from them but I have several friends who do, they are very pleased with them and knives are top quality

I have spent several hundred dollars with them lol. I like all of their stuff.

You will be pleased with their craftsmanship but it's not cheap.

If the quality is there I don't mind paying for a good knife. And to get local quality makes it even better.

Then you need to make a trip to Sulphur. Bring cash and leave your credit cards at home. You will thank me later.

Their duck straps and other leather products are very well made and high quality as well as their knives.

I've never herd of theses guys. Their knives look bad a$$!! I noticed they give you free sharpening for life also. Might have to order me one for Father's Day

I have had a folding pocket knife they made for a year. It kept an edge for a very long time. I just got a skinning knife from them last week but I haven't used it yet.

bearwash87 05-18-2014 07:11 AM

I have the skinning knife from them. Super sharp and stays that way for awhile. Great knife.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm definitely going to check them out.

They look like great knives, but I'm not finding any 6" blades. In a pinch, I can make a 4 3/8 blade work for butchering deer and filleting bull reds, but I really prefer a 6" blade.

Am I missing something, do they have a model with a 6" blade. My 6" Buck knives are fine, but it would be nice to have a top end knife.

I have never looked at their website but if you go in their store, I assure you they have a 6 inch model. They have a lot of knives to look at.

I have a 7" bucket fillet knife that I bought back in 89 and I am in need of another good knife that will last me just as long. Anyone out there buy one from these guys and if so what do you think?

I put my boat in down there so I may have to take some of my valuable fishing time away and check out their store.
