Now The Work Begins!

Well, picked up the rig today from Lake Area. New AlWeld 1552 with a 40 Tohatsu 4 stroke. Now the rigging work begins. So far, I haven't found anything I don't like about this rig. Went from a Bob's hydraulic lift to an Atlas Micro Jacker. The Bob's weighed in at over 50 pounds, the Atlas is 24 pounds, every little bit of weight loss helps.

Just noticed you have a manual jackplate mounted to the atlas. Does it really help speed and shallow water performance that much?

they are sweet looking aint they? check em out on tohatsu website if you want better views of everything

they have little holes on each side of the cowling to drain away any water that gets into the air intake while its in tilted position, a nice little added feature to keep it clean. :)

fantastic looking little motors

Well, after a week of rigging. An hour of playing with props. Made the maiden voyage this morning. With all my fishing gear, 2 deep cycle batteries, 84# thrust motor guide, assorted tools, on flat river water, 40mph at 6100 rpm. Picks up a tad on rippled water then hits the rev limiter. I am completely satisfied. Should be a comfortable fishing rig:D

That's scooting right along :D

May need to give you the keys to my rig and a blank check one weekend :smokin:

According to my prop calculator, that's as fast as this prop is gonna push this boat. Much more pitch and I feel the hole shot difference. I am happy just like it is. A very well made, very well laid out, very comfortable ride, handles great, what else could you ask for. I have reached a point in my life where I begin to question, how fast do you need to go in Lacassine marsh??? I'll settle for les pitch and that killer hole shot:D

Great to hear you have it all dialed in and can now have some fun.

Now go catch some fish!
