Probably still won't keep them out of the shop

CajunChristian 06-15-2014 06:46 AM

I have never seen the paint keep an outboard from running. They can change colors all they want, try improving some electronics. They are still junk, no matter what color they paint them. Can't turn a horse *** into a rose by painting it!

I do like that Evinrude is trying to improve the outboard industry instead of making the same stuff every year like the others.

keakar 06-15-2014 12:50 PM

got a different color for everyone lol http://www.chooseyouretec.com/en-us/

dave 06-15-2014 12:51 PM

Purple and gold would sell regardless of quality.

How is that? All other company's are making big changes. Evinrude has always been playing catch up. Electronics has always been their problem. Before BRP took over alot of people called OMC outdated motor company. For the people that own them and love them....be glad you do not have trouble with them. The facts are out there. I am finally getting rid of my evinrude for a yamaha 2 smoke. Can't wait to take it off next week. When it comes to reliability you can't beat the jap motors.
