Anyone wanna do a kayak trip Friday out of vbay? Just got a new kayak and wanting to catch my 1st red in her.

You plan on making a morning trip? I have to be back in Lafayette by 1, but I could go with ya.

Basdyakr -Yeah we are planing a trip Sunday to lc with a few of my friends we are new to kayak fishing and would love to catch some reds on it!

Chumdumpster- yes a morning trip willing to teach me the rope of marsh kayak fishing?

Honestly Haoward I'm in the same boat as you are. it'd be the first time I even put my kayak in salt water. Regardless, I've been wanting to try out shark bayou and maybe get lucky.

Y'all should look Into Lafayette fishing club. I thinkThey meet on the first Tuesday of every month at pack and paddle. Lot of guys there fish that area and know it well.

lafayette kayak fishing club meets on third tuesday of every month over at pack and paddle. they also have their own website with reports and "let's fish" hookup requests as well. tons of solid resources on their website and on the pack and paddle website regarding where to go and what to look for and stuff like that.

I'll be in there tomorrow or Thursday to pick up a few baits to throw Friday. I need some top water for sure.
