Snelling a hook question

There's a guy on craigslist making and selling leaders with snelled circle hooks. Isn't the string suppose to go through the front of the hook?

I know it's supposed to pivot toward the inside of the fish's mouth to help hook set, looks opposite if line is used as leverage point then it'd push hook away from mouth with this set up

yep if its a straight end then the leverage should turn the hook more into the fish and not turn it more out of the fish

heres a snelling link http://fishingencounters.co.za/tag/circle-hooks/

He's doing it all wrong!!! LOL
It appears this will rotate the hook away from the corner of the mouth when tightened.

I'm rarely use circle hooks, but I believe those are tied correctly.

Those are correct. If you would pull on the line it would rotate the point in the direction of the pull.
