Port Sulphur or Grand Isle for trout?

Your opinions needed.

Grand Isle or Port Sulphur? I want to target trout, and I am leaving the house at 0500 and I am still going back and forth on where I want to go.

Thanks for you time

Port sulphur. Trout are well into migratory patterns. If you goto GI I would stop in leeville

Thanks for the information. There are a few reports on Louisiana sportsman talking about bringing in limits of trout along the east side of GI during the morning hours from Thursday and Friday, but did not post pictures which is what has me stumped.

Thinking about heading towards Bay Jimmy and see what turns up.

Good luck

what a day on the water it was for me... I will keep this short:
1st - left my hat in the truck and my glasses in the house
2nd - had to re-spool my reel as the braid would not catch around the spool.
3rd - motor does not start while along the outside beach of GI, it took me two hours to figure it out.
4th - apparently they had a ladies rodeo this weekend... I was not catching anything so moved about 40 feet, and a boat load of women stopped where I just left from and started pulling in redfish everycast, UUUGGGG.
5th - oh yea I am five hours on the water and not one fish has been put in the boat.
6th - left GI and headed for Bay Jimmy and was adjusting my trim and for some reason I decided to tilt the motor all the way out the water... Not sure how this happened but it did.
7th - finally at 1 pm landed my first trout, then hit two more within 5 minutes, thought to my self awesome now I am going to finally catch some fish but wait... Not another trout the rest of the day. Moved one last time and tagged one red and keep one before heading to the house.

About the only thing I did not do today is sink my boat.

We were on the island from thur thru sun. I caught a couple of decent trout between 3 am an 5 am under the lights on top. Would get blow ups every cast but not taking the bait.
The trout were feeding on 10 - 15 count shrimp and that's all they wanted. Sat am someone we know got spooled 2 and a half times in 30 min from da bull reds.
No one was catching trout around the island and the few good reports i got were from leeville to golden meadow.
