Cured and smoked Thanksgiving turkey

Check out the turkey we had for Thanksgiving this year. First time doing this to poultry and I'll definitely be doing it again. Let me know if any of yall have experience with this or suggestions. Happy Holidays!

I have cured a bird w/ Pink salt. it was great a lot less salt than TQ.

Next time I think I'll use pink salt as well. More control over salt content than just using TQ.

Also try adding 4 Tbsp liquid crab boil to the brine. Kicks turkey up to another level

The crab boil sounds like a nice touch
