Motorguide Xi5 105 GPS
 

I pulled the trigger on a new Xi5 yesterday. I ordered online and can't wait to try it. Does anyone else have one, if so does it come with mounting hardware and wiring adapters?

I bought one about 2 months ago and its simply awesome. Its comes with the bolts, washers, and nylock nuts and remote. I had an issue with the remote as one of the screws on the back that hold the back panel on was stripped. I called Motorguide and they sent me a brand new one no questions asked in about 2 days. Excellent customer service. It doesn't come with a plug of course.

I have one and love it. Make sure you keep extra batteries and a screw driver to fit the stree in the remote in your boat. I had the batteries fail once in my remote and it messed up the trip.

I've had mine for almost a year. 100% Satisfied. Could not live now without the Pinpoint Anchor and the Bearing Modes!!

Do you guys think its a bad idea to use anchor mode instead of an anchor because that's what I would rather do. I just don't know if it spooks the fish.

I haven't seen where it spooks fish. I used mine last spring setting on Bream and Sac a lait beds in 3' water and steadily catching!

I use mine all the time. Havent used my anchor in a year or two

I'm glad you guys are reporting that it doesn't seem to spook the fish. I plan on using it as an anchor...no need for a Power Pole either. What about battery life? Does it seem to last all day or do you run out? I bought two Optima D31 batteries, which are the biggest that they make as far as I'm aware, so hopefully they will hold up for a good day's fishing.

I thought the 105 was a 36 volt unit? Just confused because you said you bought only 2 batteries.

The 105 is 36V which uses 3 batteries. Mine is a 24V.

you will be fine, just make sure you have the right kind of charger for gel batteries
