Heading to BL Friday

Any advice on what type of pattern the trout are on down there. I am thinking of heading to the south end of the lake. But to be honest i have very little experience this time of the year. Popping corks and plastics or bouncing plastics on the bottom. shallow/deep. I don't feel like going after bulls down at the jetties. I appreciate any input...even a few sarcastic snipes

Yup...i went by the house yesterday and still had 6 inches of water in the yard...should be able to go home tomorrow night finally. It's dropping about .02 inches an hour...so should be good tomorrow evening.

better check the weather again for Fri , calling for 20mph winds with gust up to 35mph out of the north

jl8200 03-23-2015 07:08 PM

I think what W is saying is since there is a North wind fish to the north. Think Turners lol...

CaptSI 03-24-2015 04:41 AM

No what he is saying is to stay home

BassYakR 03-24-2015 06:09 AM

Yeah normally with a north wind fish north bank.. only problem is with the 3" of rain we got last weekend its very doubtful that there are any fish up north. Id suggest sleeping in. or just plan for a terrible boat ride

ratherbefishing186 03-24-2015 08:34 AM

I looked at Wunderground and Accuweather before starting this thread...Friday looked a little windy but not that bad. Foiled again! Thanks for looking out W! Think ill just save that vacation day for later and bank the money!

marty f 03-24-2015 09:18 AM

I have a question, I haven't been keeping up with FISHIN conditions and stuff lately (to dang busy) well come hell R high water (which we apparently have) I am goin Wednesday what area would be a good candidate to fish in. I'll be be myself so I won't have anyone to complain about a rough boat ride so I plan on going where ever it takes. Bad thing is if I don't catch I'll still have fun

"W" I need you to quit pissing in my cheerios with things like facts or accurate predictions....just rude! 8)~

jl8200 03-24-2015 01:07 PM

How fast do the winds have to get to make the lake rough? I know what somewhat subjective but do the best you can...

BassYakR 03-24-2015 01:43 PM

with a S wind the north end will get pretty rough even if its only 10mph... same thing goes for a N wind at 10mph South end will get rough
