Anyone ever fish the pond by the tourist bureau on I 10 just before you get to Texas?

We fished it as a kid a lot. Back then you could not have an outboard in there so we hauled a 12' aluminum boat with a trolling motor. The water was always pretty and clear. We mostly perch jerked as kids but dad would bass fish with decent luck. I pass it every day going to work in Orange and would like to drop my yak in there one day soon.

We did the same as shawn when we were kids, mostly perch. have seen some monster gar fish in there.

There are some huge gators livinging in that Lake.
