Crabs....East or West?

My wife wants me to bring her crabbing in the boat for her birthday this Friday. I have only ran the boat twice since my daughter was born 14 months ago so I am definitely out of the loop to say the least.

As of now I am planning on heading to Marsh Island and trying in the canals and the damns. However, my buddy went last weekend and Crabbed all day with only 1 crab to show for it.

Anything happening on the West side as far as crabs? I am considering Joseph Harbor or even the jetties.

I know everyone with a boat is going to be on the water Friday so I am not counting on filling the ice chest just hoping to enjoy a relaxing day in the boat to give my wife a break from the little one.

Thanks in advance and see you on the water!

I haven't heard a bad report from Rockefeller, the slowest day for people I know was 4 dozen good size on the side from the side of the road.

Just got back from Joseph's Harbor. As Let um Land says, "few and small". Big difference from the last time I went. Good luck.

Thanks guys.

Wind is going to be howling out of the South Friday. I doubt we cross the bay to make it to Marsh Island. Probably going to launch in Delcambre and mess around in the canals.
