Calcasieu River Good Friday
 

Is it just me or did the fishing suck really bad today. Fished all morn from daylight till 11am. Had 4 bites. Caught one. Seen another and it was a nice size bass. Maybe 3lbs. Come out of the water chasing my bait. Anyways other than that the fishing was terrible. Worst it's been for me this yr.

Yep definitely sucked......bird crapped on my dang coffee mug...

I fished the west fork from daylight till 10:30... only caught 3 dinks... it was terrible today... glad to hear it wasnt just me. Lol

friend of mine caught 4 and a buncha big goggle eyes, good thing I fished the marsh today! almost went to the river

Wind shift back to the North and high pressure coming in tonight :eek:

Should make for an interesting morning on the river ...

I'm gonna bring my little girl tomorrow but aren't even going to try getting out until noon.

My cousin did bad too.

I figured before that system coming in it would have been good. I was wrong. Should have tried lacassine. Oh well. Good luck to whoever go today. 25mph winds. Tide going to be out for sure. Well at least the water will finally hit the gulf again with this north wind. Will surely help with this muddy water.

thinking about going tomorrow maybe in the afternoon but might just slip off to the marsh for a lil while
