Surfide Jetty and Surf 6/10

Went out w/ Paw in law to Surfside. Started the day at the Jetty and got into some big Spanish Macs. They were busting the mullet schools. We caught 5 but lost that many to teeth. Used clear/chartreuse Deadly Dudley Jrs. reeled fast w/ jerks. Also caught one on live shrimp. Bite died early so made a move to Access 3 on the beach and got in the surf. Using mainly live shrimp, we caught 17 keeper trout. Threw a few back just under 15". Nice fat, surf trout. Biggest was just over 24in./little over 5lbs on boga. Caught a few trout also on clear/chartreuse DD Jrs. Bluefish and a couple more Smacks caught too.
Saw the man in the gray suit chasing mullet off of the 2nd sandbar as I was exiting. About a 5 footer. Good time to get out!!

Maannn....that's a good trip. You are reminding me of when i used to fish over there. Do you know where the "car bodies" are? We used to smash big trout in the surf over there

Thx Crab.
Been there before and did good, but haven't been in a few years. I was by the double hexagon camp yesterday. Right now it doesn't matter much where you're at. It's been on down there and G'ton for the last 2 weeks w/the calm winds and seas.

It cleans up so much faster over there than it does here

Yes. And also Bonito. Hard to believe, but true. Thought that one of our Spanish macs was a king at first cause it was so big. Over 30 inches. Others weren't much shorter.
