Wowzer, wonder what happened?

Mako19 07-15-2015 03:40 PM

I hope everyone is ok.

No truck or trailer around? That boat has so much power with all of those big motors it might have just jumped right out of the nearest body of water and landed right there in the median!

goldenrod 07-15-2015 03:43 PM

Boat For Sale! Only minor damage!

Duffy.yyz 07-15-2015 03:49 PM

I bet that was interesting to watch.

C-Bass2mouth 07-15-2015 03:54 PM

I would cry so dam hard

Nickt87 07-15-2015 04:24 PM

That giant hook on the side of the boat must've snagged a tree as it went by, ripped it right off the trailer. Hate when that happens

read on one of the florida forums that he just bought it(used) and was on the way home from picking it up and a car cut him off.

I drive a big a** black lifted 4 door crew cab F350 dually long bed with heavy duty ranch hand bumpers. When Im pulling my boat or our 36ft camper, I dont swerve, for anything. Im not going to lose control and tear up my sh** and you ride off in the sun set and Im left holding the bag. IF you cant see me and you make a stupid choice Im taking you out.

I can tell you this I hope you have a dash cam cause when you take them out you will be placed in the wrong! You cannot hit people from behind!

Car had cut him off, boat was on it's way to Venice, just picked up by new owners. Wet road, he swerved, lost control, and flipped it off the trailer. I know the previous owner through his sister, and even he was heartbroken. Boat is apparently in repairs as of now.

I have to agree with Marty on this one. Who gives a $H** if I'm in the wrong. Most people don't carry enough insurance to replace a boat like that. Push em off the road... If they cut you off. Let them deal with collecting and repair hasle.

We all know someone that has been though this, maybe even DIED for swerving to miss some A**hat that has no respect for the other drivers on the road. I ride a bike, and drive a small truck, and its these same A**hats that try to run me off the road. Ill slow down, brake hard, try to slide to the side when Im in my big truck, but Im not swerving, I have a friend who lost his wife for swerving to miss one of these "cut off kings"

I have had a dash cam for years. It is my responsibility to protect myself, a dash cam helps me protect my estate (just think about that for min and let it sink in). I would implore you to get one as well. It was a dash cam footage that convicted my ex-wife of assault. ITs amazing how cooperative she has become when she knows I record every encounter with her!

Just doing a little cost assessment... haha

There is probably over $100k worth of motor on that boat... and another $30k in electronics... ROFL... I bet that dude is in the $200-$250k range.

If it says "F O U N T A I N" on the side of it, I would bump the price to $350k.

Don't know if it applies for non commercial, but truck drivers, at least hazmat, are instructed to never swerve to miss anything, squirrel, deer, vehicle, etc. drive straight and hang on and pray for the best.
