Boudin
Where is the best place to get boudin around lake Charles or kinder, coming down to gamble and want some for the freezer
Lil wooden store on side 190 at the foot of the bridge in Krotz springs is definitely worth the trip.......Boudin ,,,,crawfish balls smoke meats,,,,hog head cheese is all legit.......and def try the cracklins.................

Many places to choose from. In Lake Charles, I like Sonniers off Enterprise Blvd. turn east at the red light by Balls Fried Chicken.
Market Basket smoked boudin and regular boudin is excellent. Jimbo's on south common street is good. Everyone has their preference as I'm sure you will get some more recommendations. |

Lake Charles boudin is really lacking compared to the Lafayette area. But the best boudin around here is Market Basket's IMO.
Laffy has some good Boudin. My friends always buy Best Stop. I save the trip and go to Jerry Lee's in BR, much closer and I love that each batch is a little different.
Bourques in Port Barre best in the state followed closely by Billy's. Market Basket probably has the best in Lake Charles
Best Stop in Scott is my fave.
Lake Charles Rice Dreassing- I mean boudin....

It's kind of like a slice poon tang pie, some or better than better than others but most are good. |
Billeauds in Broussard doesn't disappoint. They've only been their since the 1800's too
Mel's by Lake View Park between Mamou and Eunice is really good as well
Has anybody tried the boudin from Prime Cuttery? I heard it was good.
Right by the casino is a train car and it sells good stuff. Chadeaux's in kinder on 165 has good old fashion meaty boudin.
