Foruchon trip

Well friend of mine called and wanted to make a little trip offshore and tole me to bring one of my boys with me. Well my 10 year old had never done the AJ thing solo on a Rod and reel. So I dropped deep roud rig with a 16oz high speed jig. Pumped it twice and it was on. I was using an accurate 600 extra narrow with a 5'2" OTI jigging Rod. It was whipping his azz and all of a sudden it broke...well he never gave up and we got it in. He got one more on my Talica 25 and he was ready to call it a day.
