vets

Don't want to hijack your thread, but on a related subject: for those who don't know, vets can now hunt during Youth Week as long as they can prove they are a vet. Either bring a copy of your DD214 or go to the license bureau with your DD214 and get a new DL (at no cost to you) with the veteran designation on it. I just discovered this, but I won't let next hunting season go by without utilizing this feature.

Maybe just a little payback for only making $88/month back in the late 60's. :)

Just to clarify..... the Vet must be "Honorably" discharged.

Well duh! Who in their right mind would even be willing to reveal that they received a dishonorable discharge? Just saying

Thanks y'all.
He got a few ducks it wasn't the best trip but we had a good time. Even caught a few reds.

There are other types of discharge from the military.

Obvious are honorable and dishonorable but if I remember you can get 'general', 'other than than honorable', and 'bad conduct'.

Good point, I stand corrected (and humbly admonished). Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.
