Cold weather gear

Under Armour vs The Northface...y'all got a preference? Fixin' to load up.

U/A for me. They dry faster if you get them wet from sweating or rained on

Hopedale Hustler 12-24-2009 12:52 AM

North Face is no doubt the ultimate cold weather gear..hell it was designed by a climbing team of mount everest.....but jordan is right UA will dry out faster...

trophytroutman 12-24-2009 01:13 AM

X2 on under armor

speckdaddy 12-24-2009 07:17 AM

under armour is expensive, but podnuh....worth every cent!!!

bohunterbiff 12-24-2009 08:46 AM

I have used UA all over the world - through all types of climates and weather - ain't nothing better. It works especially good here in Louisiana where it will wick the sweat off you, dry fast, and keep you warm even when wet. Couple it with a lightweight rain jacket/wind breaker and you will be set for anything mother nature throws at you here.

I work in Alaska and North Face is the only way to go.

catch.and.fillet 12-24-2009 09:10 AM

Cabela's used to sell thermals that had some silk in them. I bought 'em back in the 90's when I lived in Denver and they were great for skiing, fishing, whatever. Still have 'em. If it's 32 or below, they go on. Along with the UA.

never heard of north face.are they a company that sells merchandise around here? i dunno about them, but i swear by under armour.it keeps ya warm and above all else...dry from perspiration.

Fishmaster 12-24-2009 10:31 AM

Under Armour it's great during those hot days in the duck blind also... During teal season i just wear the long sleave como u/a. Also keeps you warm too, best of both worlds.......

mikedatiger 12-24-2009 10:40 AM

north face is known as some of the best cold weather gear in the world. expensive, but you get what you pay for. But it depends on what you need it for - i.e. it's probably overkill for our neck of the woods. i was just looking at both brands 10 mins ago -outerwear I'd go with northface and for layering i'd go with ua. my 2 cents.

cajunman7925 12-24-2009 10:57 AM

Northface is the way to go I promise.

fishmaster911 12-24-2009 11:03 AM
