Summer jobs...
 

I know it's early to be looking but this year im going to need to be working..... Any one have any suggestions or any one i could work for? I know it's kinda hard to find a job, but even harder when your fifteen, I was just curious, I does not even have to be during the summer because I am home schooled :help::help::cry::cry::confused::confused:

get a BBQ pit and sell hamburgers or plate lunches at a local marina

cut grass. avg city yard you can charge $20-25, you will be earning more than min wage if you work fast and make your own hours.

Not to brag but I can cook anything on the BBQ better than any one in my age group and alot better than most guys :p
Only on coals for me.......! I never thought of that idea. I grill for my family 4-5 times a week, speaking of that what about a S/C BBQ cook off, that sounds like some fun....

Don't want to rain on your parade but be very careful selling food to the public. Don't know all the laws .But most places you have to be insured and inspected to sell food and you must have the basics Hot water ,stainless steel sink, screened in inclosure etc.
Plus, If you set up at a landing the owner may want a cut .
Great BBQ sells itself once you get your name out there .
You Just need to check into and follow all the rules .
I have a friend who does Q out of his house and catars events for folks and makes good money doing it.

Judges will be needed....I volunteer. :smokin:

Im live in NO but I'd be willing to go to the WEST..

Cut grass, clean yards and help people do work around the house.
People always need help nowdays and its hard to find it even if you are willing to pay.

Thing about cutting grass around here is ALL the older ladies have this one guy.... That does about a 4 block radius around me.. I have tried to under cut him this past summer not interested... let me to bleave he's not only mowing the grass :eek::puke:

That must be for a really small lot.

Here in the Bluff.....1/2+ acrea lot goes for ~ $ 45-50 to cut and weedeat.

I had a neighbor start up a grass cutting business. First year he invested ~ $ 75K to get started. He did really well, and said that after ~ 1.5 years he was making money.

He started doing more Commercial jobs......that is where you make the money.

Some people are loyal to a business that does a good job for them. Just because it is cheaper does not mean the service is as good or better.

There will be plenty of flower beds this spring that will need weeding, mulching etc. You may give that a try.

My nephew has several customers he washes cars for. He leaves on his bike with a bucket full of all his supplies, the customer just supplies the water hose...It has been a good year around business for the little guy.

When I was 8 till I was out of high school, I cut grass around our neighborhood, worked in a butcher shop and rode shotgun with an a/c repairman, carrying tools.
For very little money.

Find a marina and buy a fillet knife and clean fish. That's how I made money when I was a young'un

Got the knife and the know how. Just no "marina" closet thing to me would be bonalble boat launch

They have a SC BBQ team for a cook off already for the tipper fund.

4-5 times maybe more.. . i kid you not..haha

mostly cook the main meal on the pit and make side dishes inside........


&& i under stand they have a SC team, but i was thinking more against each other :p

Check the yellow pages for lawn services and inquire with them about employment opportunities. You could also call some local fishing guides and offer yoiur services to clean their boats each day when they come in.
I would pay someone to clean my boat if I fished everyday (worst part of fishing).
