Me Darren O and his Brother Brain......... Made the mistake to try to fish today.......:pissed:.... Still Lots of Fresh water and few to slim trout around....... Hit two deep reefs off the bat ZERO....... Next banks......ZERO......

Then DA WEIRS........:p.......We said what the hell lets go.........

Nothing........ hit two of them and one red:(


Went drift some more reefs......more damn Reds.....Tearing up baits......

I quite until the salinity comes back


We found were everybody was.......Weirs were light today .......but its because everyone was at Academy........ Loaded up on some more goods

made the way down to the first weir from heberts frozze our arse off and did not even catch a bite and was not there for long o ya caught a pelican on accident my friend was fishing with a popping cork the stupid bird swam across his string and got tangled had to catch the bird and untangle then release it

well Jeremy I saw you at the 3rd weir we one of the boats there when you pulled up. We left also and came back there about 2:00 they were there then we limited out and everyone else there limited also,we caught 17 total but had to throw back 7 cause there was only two of us. I think we are the boat to the right in your first picture.

Spent 4 hours on deer stand this morn NADA. Stopped by Calcasieu Point on the way home - saw one of the bank fishermen catch a freshwater blue cat. Pretty fresh. About 5 dead pelicans around the fish cleaning table - They can swallow them but I don't think that they can digest a big red carcass.

maybe they could post a sign at the cleaning table about maximum pelican treat sizes :redface:
