Put my tomatoes and peppers in the ground this past weekend. Hoping for no frost over this way. If it does happen, I can always replant since its still early.

Wetaline , what is that you mulching with ???

Andy C 03-01-2016 09:17 PM

Way to early folks!! Hard freeze coming first/mid April.

Mulching with hay. I've done it for a long time and have had no problems. Can walk in the garden, holds moisture in and stops weeds. At the end of the season, I till it in the soil. Helps to break up the soil along with the other things I add to it.
