You would think it was mid spring in Wilkinson Bayou
This past Saturday the trout bite was as good as I have ever seen it. Caught well over 50 trout... Putting 20 in the live well and tagging the rest. The average size was 15"... With the occasional bull red.

Wilkinson is on the northern side of Barataria, due north of the most Eastern tip of Grand Isle.
Gnats... yes... damn spell check on this computer. I an under estimating the swarm of gnats by the way. It was so bad that I could not see through by sunglasses. |
