Live well pump wiring help
 

Pump does not get voltage . Checked pump wires direct to battery and it works. I followed the wiring to switch red wire attached on back of switch but black is attached to nothing. Where is black wire suppose to go? Boat has a fuse box and the switch is a multi function switch --off in the middle left is live well pump and right is something else.

Black should be is on one side of switch and and red to the other side of switch. Black bringing power to switch red going to pump. Or black goes to a ground ...

What wire is powering your switch?? If you are looped from another hot switch, then black should go to ground.

it is looped from swith above . i will try connecting to ground on fuse box.
