Insane Trout Bust Loose 5-7-16

Day 2 with my Bisso Marine crew. After a great night at the lodge we woke up early, as the forecast was for calm winds. Being a Saturday and calm winds forecasted we knew everyone and their brothers would be on the water today. We got somewhat of a early start and made our way to the trout grounds. Second cast of the Morning and our first fish hit the deck of the big Bluewave about 5:50am. Non-stop everycast sick action as #100 hit the deck at 6:45am. Best bite I've seen in quite some time!
It was very pleasant not to have anyone mess up our bite, but I did hear of many occasions of people cranking their big motors up by people, running over their fish, and doing some Olympic Anchor toss's. Truly amazed how some people just don't get it!!! You not only mess up the bite for the people that were catching, you don't catch any either!! Double rigged Matrix Shad with the Crappie Psychic Trout trailers did all the damage. There is no other artificial baits needed in your boat and of course no live bait was harmed!!! Lol. The weather finally has given us a break and conditions got right. The trout are stacked and hungry, give me a call to get yours. Thanks to Capt Miller for running the second boat with Bisso and to Capt J Ellender for taking care of Trampas Amadee and crew. Everyone had a great time. Capt. Nicely done Capt... My buddy that was with me was a freshwater guy and after many attempts of trying to use a popping cork, topwater (Walk the dog), or even a suspending bait, I finally dialed him in on just using a 1/4oz jig head and slowly reeling it in. I have to say, staying on the bottom was a good call as he caught some of the nicer trout of the day.
Matrix Shad (Shrimp Creole) was his go to color. |
Nice
That's awesome, glad to hear he was able to catch tight lined. I'm sure he had a great time.
