Sept birthday planning FISHING!

Hello all,

I'm not for sure if I want a bay or gulf fishing charter, but I do want to go fishing with some kind of guiding service or professional for my big 40 birthday September 21. I'm not wanting to start a pissing contest on who's better, just what would YOU do to celebrate your 40th (fishing wise). I'm kinda a cheap type of dude, so I'll budget around 200 for this excursion.

I love sheepshead and flounder, not too excited about redfish (taste wise), never had trout.. :help: !!!

Desperate for ideas in CENLA

Try 3x that budget and you might find a guide.

Agreed, however someone might hook you up with maybe an afternoon trip with a somewhat reduced rate for a single. Maybe .

You might want to keep saving and hire a guide for your 50th birthday, because $200 is not even close especially if you want to go offshore.

You can do a "walk-on" 6 or 8 hour trip on a head boat, for the price, as seen here:

Call capt PQ and tell him you'll pay by the fish... Trip might be free

Another option would be to contact a guide service and tell them you are available to "join" in with another couple people to make a trip. This way the cost could be split 3 ways.

This trip would sill be a little over $200.

Most guided trips are $550 to $650 here on Big Lake

Most are $600 for 3
That would be $200 a person if you had two buddies ( tip not included )

Don't think you will find a guide to take you out for $200 unless it's in January and they need trips

It's your 40th B day find you a guide and book a trip ... Have fun

I don't have the $$$ to fish with a guide either, or a boat. so i learned to fish along the sides of the road and spots to walk or wade to.
There are no guides worth paying $200 to that will take you out for that price, Best thing you can do is try to find a couple of buddies and split the cost.
For $250 a person including tip you can get a good guide.
There is no other profession that i could say this means more. Remember ,you get what you pay for.
